Use the legal name
Filings use the name of the legal entity, for example "Example Holdings LLC". A brand name can differ from it.
See if the employer filed for H-1B workers, next to the job title on LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor.

It works on job pages of LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor. The extension needs no account of its own.

The label shows next to the job title.

It shows the filings of the latest fiscal year with filings, an unclear match, or no filings under this name.

The panel shows LCA filings and USCIS approvals for each fiscal year, the sources and the data release date.
On LinkedIn, Indeed and Glassdoor, the label shows the employer's H-1B filings in its latest fiscal year with filings. You stay on the job page.
The panel shows LCA filings with the U.S. Department of Labor and USCIS approvals by fiscal year. Each panel names its sources and the data release date.
A job page often shows a brand name, and the filings use legal names. For many S&P 500 companies, the check links the brand to its legal entities from SEC filings.
The panel shows "Likely cap-exempt" when the employer has the tax ID of a U.S. public or nonprofit college in IPEDS.
Each employer page shows filings by fiscal year, typical roles, LCA wage ranges and locations. The page links to the source files. You can also browse employers by city and by role.
The check compares the name on the job page with employer names, aliases and verified brand links. It also uses the employer website when the page provides it. When several employers fit, it lists them so you can choose.
When the public files do not list the name on the job page, the check says so. It also explains that the employer may file under another legal name, such as the name of its parent company.
The check uses an employer list in your browser and needs no server for a lookup. A new list goes live only after it passes the matching tests. If an update fails, the extension keeps the current list.
The extension checks the employer once for each job you view. It uses no measurable CPU while the page is idle.
The extension never opens a tab. After an update, a short note about the changes shows once in the popup.
From public government files: the LCA disclosure data of the U.S. Department of Labor and the H-1B Employer Data Hub of USCIS. The "likely cap-exempt" line uses IPEDS, the federal database of colleges. The data covers the newest three fiscal years.
This site checks the government sources every day. When a source publishes new files, the site builds a new data release. The extension checks for a new release at most once a day. If the check fails, it keeps its current data.
No. A filing shows that the employer applied for H-1B workers in the past. It is not a guarantee of sponsorship, and it is not legal advice. For questions about your own case, it is better to ask an immigration attorney.
Yes. The extension is free, and so are the check and all its evidence.
On a job page, the extension reads the employer name, job title, location and employer web address. The check runs in your browser, and the employer name and page address stay there. One usage event is "popup opened". Every event has a random install ID, a session ID, the extension version and the event name. Some events also include the job site and the check result. They do not include the page address or employer name.
Several employers fit the name on the job page, or the name fits only in part. The check lists the employers that fit. Choose the legal name that belongs to the company that posted the job.
It means the public files have no filings under this name. A company can file under its parent company's name or another legal name. You can look for that name in the employer lists on this site.
The employer has the same tax ID as a U.S. public or nonprofit college or university in IPEDS. This is a fact about the type of employer. USCIS decides the cap question for each petition.
This page uses public government filings. A filing does not guarantee that the employer will sponsor you. This information is not legal advice.
Status on October 22, 2026: USCIS does not collect the $100,000 payment on new H-1B petitions for workers outside the U.S. while court orders stand. Appeals are pending, so this can change. USCIS H-1B FAQ
